Capt Sensible, Damned, LA debut, April 18, 1977, Starwood second/last night/last show. Infamous photo published around the world since 1977. I gave the print to their manager, Jake Riviera, never dreaming he’d turn it into a button. Never made a penny nor got credit.

I rarely shot nudity. Such a silly, stoopid, nice Jewish girl. I was soooo shy and naive. Left a lot of money on the table cos some shots I would not take … there’s more to this story … Capt Sensible TOLD ME to watch him! He wanted me to shoot him.

I was standing on a chair, opposite side of stage, by guitarist Brian James, looking through my camera. I saw Capt taking off his clothes. I jumped off chair, dragged it across Starwood floor (it was NOT crowded!), then got as close as I could as quickly as I could, took a couple of shots. The next one is his bum, as he bent over to pick up his clothes. He faced the back of the stage, and we saw his moon. Will post another time …
